Pet friendly beaches

PET FRIENDLY BEACHES

Pets are not allowed on the majority of the city beaches in Croatia. There are a few exceptions to the rule:

Island Krk- Baska

Baska-Beach
a part of Vela plaza (Great Beach), a pebble beach, the Blue Flag

Istria - Rovinj

Rovinj - Zlatni rt
a part of city beach Zlatni rt, a rocky and pebble beach

Villas Rubin Beach
a part of beach at tourist resort - Villas Rubin (a pet friendly accommodation), a rocky and pebble beach, the Blue Flag

Istria - Camping village Medulin

Kamp Medulin - Beach
beach in Camping village Medulin

On unofficial beaches, outside of cities, pets are allowed. Try to avoid popular and busy beaches. At the pet friendly hotels, there is usually a part of the beach which is pet friendly. You should ask at the hotel reception desk for more information.

Regulations about pets on the beaches are less strict during the low (April-May and September-October) and mid (June) season. Also, in those parts of season, pets are more often allowed in restaurants and pubs.
